Learn Using Industry Standard FacilitiesThe College continues a tradition of providing industry-standard facilities and a commitment to best industry practice, reflected in ongoing investment in facilities and equipment. Many of the teaching facilities are closely related to the practical aspects of course work, and learning happens across the college facilities, not just in the classroom.
Learning Resource CentreThe Learning Resource Centre houses all the books, journals and printed publications to support courses and areas of more general interest. An extensive and growing provision of E-books and on-line learning resources mean that students can access publications and information immediately.
Classrooms and Lecture TheatresThe main teaching complex, the Sainsbury Building, was completed in the summer of 2000, comprising classrooms, laboratories and a lecture theatre. Classrooms around the campus are equipped with interactive teaching facilities.
Practical Teaching FacilitiesMuch use is made of the College’s industry-standard livestock production units, engineering workshops, timber sawmill, the National Aquatics Training Centre and landscaped horticultural areas, glasshouses and polytunnels.
The Equine Centre has a large indoor arena, with three outdoor arenas and stabling for 70 horses. The Animal Management Centre houses hundreds of species of animals with a large reptile house and a zoo licence accommodating a small collection of exotic animals including wallaby, mara and red panda.
