Our Outdoor Education lecturers raced against the clock today in the Waterside A event in preparation for their Devizes to Westminster challenge at Easter.

The team of Lawrence Blair and Scott Fancourt finished 9th in a time of 2:09:05, pipping Kaj Berendsen and Gareth Rogers who crossed the line in 10th place in 2:12:49. Overall, 38 teams started the race.

Devizes to Westminster is known as the world’s toughest canoe race and our awesome foursome are taking part in memory of the crew members of the Cheeki Rafiki, including former Sparsholt student James Male, who were all tragically lost at sea in May last year.
