Students on campus

Sparsholt College is set in one large attractive campus, in the Hampshire countryside. The campus comprises the farm, specialist training areas (such as the Equine Centre and the National Aquatics Training Centre), teaching faciliites, student accommodation, restaurants and cafes, lounges, sports hall, gym and pitches and administrative buildlings.

As a residential college, with four hundred students living on site, facilities have been developed to provide for students' needs both during and after the working day.

Learning and Teaching

Many of the teaching facilities are closely related to the practical aspects of course work, and learning happens across the college facilities, not just in the classroom. Whether your interests lie in sport or horticulture, equine studies or conservation, or any other of our course areas, you can be assured that our teaching facilities will give you the ideal learning environment for your chosen career.

Meal times, from breakfast to dinner, are catered for through the main dining room and a number of coffee and snack shops.  Bytes – the main dining room including a salad bar – serves a selection of hot and cold meals throughout the day.  Fit Jym's is a coffee bar serving hot drinks, made-to-order baguettes and cakes and MJs is a large lounge complex with a games and recreational area. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available through the servery and vending machines.

Fit Jym's is also a licensed bar and the focus of social life in the evenings. The bar is open to all students, but with strict adherence to the law on serving alcoholic drinks.

A College Shop on site stocks a wide range of daily requisites, including food, snacks, newspapers, cards, stationery, etc. plus there’s a launderette for the use of residential students and a day nursery, providing day care for children up to the age of five.
