Sparsholt College Hampshire is one of the leading providers of university level courses for the land and environment with a heritage spanning more than 100 years.
Our degree courses are validated by the University of Portsmouth and QAA – the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education – has recognised our courses and facilities at their highest rating.
Students benefit from on-going links with industry for curriculum development, work placements, industry contacts and real work-based projects. Our students have been involved in industry feed trials in Fishery Studies, course development with RHS in Horticulture, accreditations by industry bodies such as the Institution of Chartered Foresters, British Horse Society and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, amongst many others.
Many of our higher education staff are considered to be experts in their field with published research in their relevant disciplines. In addition to this many staff still work in their industry. They gain cutting-edge knowledge of developments which they are able to share with their students.
The skills, knowledge, contacts and industry experience our higher education students gain whilst at Sparsholt allows progression to careers in their chosen field.
We recently opened our new Higher Education Study Centre, a dedicated building for our Foundation, Honours and Master’s degree students. This study retreat offers computer facilities, mentoring rooms and a lounge. This investment is a continuation of the growth of Undergraduate and Postgraduate study at Sparsholt College.
