With some colleges opting out of agricultural training, many students flock to Sparsholt for its continued strength of purpose in supplying the industry with its next generation of skilled technical staff and managers.
The 400 acre (158 ha) commercial Home Farm provides real-work training for the students and includes:

A dairy herd with milking parlour and access to a range of milking systems through partner farms.

A planned new sheep barn to house early lambing flock.

An entirely new pig unit consistent with modern welfare standards.

A new beef barn with efficient handling systems.
