I hold a BSc (Hons) in Animal Science and an MSc in Wildlife Management and Conservation from University of Reading. My PhD investigated the role of multifunctional field margin vegetative strips for the support of ecosystem service.
I am a zoologist/ecologist with a specific interest captive and wild animal management. My masters research investigated social and environmental factors on the behaviour of captive western colobus monkeys. During my PhD I studied invasive deer ecology, including genetic and geographic modelling as well as the ecological uses of camera traps.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Management, qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008 (NVQ 3) and am a registered veterinary nurse with the RCVS. I also hold an RCVS Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing gained in 2014, specialising in medical and critical care nursing.
I gained my BSc (Hons) Equine Science in 2005 from Hartpury/UWE. After this I went on to work as an Equine Veterinary Nurse within clinical, surgical and on-call roles, gaining a real interest in colic and equine dysautonomia, as well as lameness and diagnostic modalities.
