24+ Advanced Learning Loans
Since August 2013, 24+ Advanced Learning Loans have been available to learners aged 24 and above to fund many Level 3 and 4 courses such as Diplomas, Extended Diplomas and Apprenticeships.
The loans will cover tuition fees and are paid back once the course is completed and you are earning more than £21,000 a year, so there is no upfront cost.
An Apprenticeship is a training programme designed to develop job-related skills, knowledge and competencies in a particular professional area.
We offer a fantastic choice of Apprenticeships in land-based industries as well as Apprenticeships in a wide variety of other professions through our sister campus at Andover College.
Apprenticeships are not just for young people – an Apprenticeship is a great development programme for upskilling and learning knowledge for a specific industry. It provides effective skills and training for adults without a degree level qualification and there is funding available regardless of your age.
CACHE Level 3 Award in Home-based Childcare
Start a new career that fits around your family life! This recognised qualification allows you to develop the skills and knowledge you need to support the care and development of children and young people in a home-based setting, often working in a solo capacity. Covering the legislation and regulations governing home-based childcare, the course leads to a career that is transferable from the UK to abroad.
Skills For Growth
We have joined with other local colleges to collaborate on a Skills for Growth project with the Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to offer a range of course units from our most popular technical programmes. These selected units are designed to develop specific top up skills for an already skilled, or partly skilled employee in the workforce.
With CMI units available for just £25 and welding units just £50 each, this is a great way to boost your skillset.
Digital Learning Design
These exciting new courses, delivered by one of the leading colleges in online learning – Sparsholt and Andover Colleges – will give you the skills and ability to design and produce eLearning materials.
You will develop the knowledge and competency to become a ‘digital learning designer’. You will learn a wide range of techniques, combining them within an exciting portfolio of evidence.
