The College is OPEN AS USUAL following the announcements from the Prime Minister (on 12 March 2020) regarding the move of the UK government to the ‘delay phase’ of its plan to tackle coronavirus. Schools and Colleges are being advised to operate as normal. There are no known confirmed cases of Corona virus amongst students or staff as at 12, March, but we have plans in place ready for any change to that.
The latest advice is that anyone with a “new, continuous cough” or “high temperature” is advised to self-isolate for 7 days. People with symptoms are no longer required to call NHS 111, but are urged to look for information on the NHS website and 111 online.
Public Health England has released new guidance for those staying at home because they have symptoms of the virus – a cough or a temperature of 37.8C (100F) or more.
If any of our students have developed a “new, continuous” cough or high temperature, please follow that guidance and please notify sickness absence from college, through the usual way.
