Dear Student,
You will no doubt be aware from the latest weather reports that storm Ciarán is forecast to cause potential disruption tomorrow. We are mindful that many of our students and staff travel significant distances to and from college and want to both keep everyone safe and ensure learning is not disrupted by partial attendance.
In light of this, the college has taken the decision to switch all learning to online learning for tomorrow Thursday 2 November and so there will be no onsite teaching delivery from either Sparsholt or Andover campuses. Wind gusts are at Amber levels in some parts of Hampshire when students and staff would be travelling to and from home to campus – many of whom have long journeys. In consequence, we have cancelled all campus arranged transport for this one day.
We have the technology to provide work online / stream live lessons, and staff will prepare for this.
If you are a residential student, there is an expectation for you to join your lessons online. Please inform your wardening team if you do not have access to the technology to do so. Please be assured a catering service will operate tomorrow from Bytes for all Sparsholt Campus and UCS based students residing on site.
Please ensure that you register and participate in all lessons that you are timetabled for tomorrow.
Best wishes
Julie Milburn
Principal
