As you will be aware The Prime Minister and Education Secretary have said that all schools will close for most pupils after Friday (20/02/2020) until further notice, view here.
Sparsholt College will be following this advice and closing our campuses at Sparsholt and Andover.
There remain a number of questions which we do not yet know the answers to, but we will continue to ensure our responses are published here.
We have put in place remote working measures for our teams so we can continue to support you through telephone, email, online and video conferencing resources.
The College will strive to deliver learning & teaching opportunities to you through:
1) Helping learning with online resources – this will include (but not limited to) our online system Moodle which many of you are already used to using on a regular basis. We will, over the coming weeks, look to add a significant volume of new material which you can access at any time to support with portfolio building, complete assignments, enhance your knowledge and prepare for assessments.
2) Delivering online teaching – we are looking to replace some of the classroom-based theoretical teaching with online lectures. We recognise there are limitations to this (e.g. with skills building and practical elements) but we will focus on ensuring as much appropriate worked is covered.
Your lecturers and other College staff will be in contact with you next week to arrange and clarify what support will be put in place and how you can access it. We recommend that your normal weekly routines is maintained as much as possible and you utilise your time to complete off the job training when you would normally come into College. Remember always to record the amount of time you are spending on off the job training. If you feel you need any support do not hesitate contacting us.
