What will I learn?
As part of the apprenticeship programme you will be required to undertake both on and off-the-job training. While your employer will be responsible for your training on-the-job (workplace), the College and your employer will be jointly responsible for your off-the-job training enabling you to help develop the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to become competent in your job role. The mandatory modules required are:
- Knowledge Module 2: Level 3 Certificate in Marketing Principles
- Knowledge Module 3: Level 3 Certificate in Digital Marketing Business Principles
There are a range of technical knowledge and competence components as part of the programme which will be demonstrated through portfolio evidence. As part of the apprenticeship programme you will be required to also complete the following professional qualification:
- MTA HTML
You will attend College on a day-release basis during term-time for the duration of your programme with us, to gain knowledge and develop some practical skills. The College will agree additional off-the-job training with your employer to ensure you develop the majority of your skills and behaviours in the workplace.
WHAT GRADES WILL I NEED?
Employers are likely to be looking for a proven passion for digital and social media.
Entry requirements are GSCE grade D/3 or above in Maths and English or an equivalent qualification, relevant experience and/or aptitude test with a focus on functional skills maths.
This apprenticeship is recognised for entry on to the Register of IT Technicians and those completing their apprenticeships are eligible to apply for registration on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
Completion of the apprenticeship would also allow access to join as an Affiliate (Professional) member of the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and/or Associate membership of BCS.
