What will I learn?
This course is for those already holding the EAL Level 2 Diploma (or equivilant) or with relevant experience and knowledge of the Electrical industry who wish to enhance their career prospects.
Building on prior knowledge the content is mainly theory based to enable progression to the NVQ Level 3 and employment, further professional qualifications or Higher Education.
Units consist of Health and Safety, Environmental issues and re-usable energy, Inspection and Testing, Fault Diagnosis, Electrical Science, Electrical Systems Design and Career awareness in Building Services.
Where will it lead me?
You could progress straight into employment.
Alternatively a Level 3 NVQ, a Level 3 Award in Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations, or a Level 4 Award in Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.
There is also the option to progress to Higher Education HNC/HND or Degree.
Successful completion of the EAL Level 2 Diploma in Electro-Technical Installations or equivalent or suitable relevant experience and knowledge of the Electrical Contracting industry.
Students may be interviewed and individually assessed.
