What will I learn?

This course covers the following first aid emergencies

  • Extreme cold
  • Extreme heat
  • Treatment of Adder snake bites
  • Catastrophic bleeding, including:
    Direct pressure
    Tourniquets
    Haemostatic agents

  • Crush injuries
  • Lyme disease

    Where will it lead me?

    Upon successful completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate which is valid for 3 years.

    Entry Requirements

    This course is suitable for people who hold, or intend to complete, an Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification who may deal with special hazards within a forestry/agricultural contest

    Those working in core operations on Forestry Commission land will require an appropriate and valid Emergency First Aid at Work or First Aid at Work qualification in combination with this Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Forestry First Aid +F (RQF) qualification

    Please Note

    Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started their course.
