What will I learn?

Handling disciplinary issues at work can be very stressful for a small employer, particularly if they have no HR training or experience. This course aims to deal with problems within the law. It will cover

  • discipline and grievance policies and processes
  • how to deal with Performance and capability problems and the difference between the two
  • conduct / gross misconduct
  • what to do when an employee raises a grievances or other complaint
  • how to plan and implement an investigation
  • dealing with witnesses & evidence
  • writing a report after an investigation
  • disciplinary hearings and outcomes
  • appeals
