What will I learn?

If you operate a food business in the UK, you are legally responsible for making sure food is safe to eat.

An Environmental Health Officer (EHO) has the right to visit your premises without an appointment at any reasonable time, any day of the week. As a Food Business Operator
you are bound by legislation to accommodate their visit and give them access to your premises.

EHOs will be looking for evidence that you have a food safety management system in place and it is being used correctly. It is very important to always have someone on site who is suitably trained in food safety management and can answer any question the EHO may have.

This course will include the following topics: –

How to manage and document food safety
Identify correct food safety procedures and practises
Check and review food safety procedures and practises
Check your premises and environment meet legal requirements
