Land-based Engineering covers with the maintenance and repair of a range of mechanised equipment used in agriculture and other land-based industries. As a land-based engineer you would be using a combination of technical and engineering skills to diagnose problems and get the most out of agricultural machinery like tractors, combine harvesters, chainsaws, wood chippers and fixed machinery such as milking equipment.

The ideal apprentice will enjoy working outdoors and have an interest in technology, machinery, and agriculture in general.
