What will I learn?

Having completed our City & Guilds Level 2 MIG Welding course at Sparsholt College, you might want to consider our City & Guilds Level 3 MIG Welding course to take your skills further and gain a formal industry standard qualification.

The level 3 award qualification can be completed individually on pipe or plate.

Suitable for those who undertake welding in their jobs or have previous experience of welding, this course will cover

  • Producing a butt weld in the horizontal and overhead positions
  • Producing a tee fillet weld in the horizontal position
  • Producing a tee fillet weld in the overhead position
  • Producing an outside corner weld in the overhead position
  • Factors that influence weld quality and Health and Safety requirements relevant to welding

    Where will it lead me?

    This is an industry standard qualification, completion of which will allow learners to apply for welding jobs

    Entry Requirements

    Learners must have completed the C & G Level 2 Award in MIG Welding course

    Learners may also be invited to a test weld and interview
