What will I learn?

This qualification is aimed at supervisors and first line managers who have operational responsibility for a defined area of activity. It gives junior managers the communication and motivational skills to help improve operational efficiency.

The following units will be delivered

* Unit 301  – Principles of Management and Leadership
* Unit 302  – Managing a Team to Achieve Results
* Unit 303 –  Managing Individuals to be Effective in their Role
* Unit 305 –  Building Effective Stakeholder Relationships Using Effective Communication
* Unit 318  – Managing Data and Information
* Unit 310  – Supporting Teams and Individuals Through Change
* Unit 321  – Managing Own Personal and Professional Development

Where will it lead me?

This qualification provides an opportunity to progress onto Level 5 Management and Leadership or L3 Coaching and Mentoring after suitable experience has been gained.

Entry Requirements

The CMI does not specify entry requirements for this course but candidates will need a good standard of written English (at least level 2 standard) to undertake the assignments.

Free if aged 19+ and either unemployed or have a gross salary income (excl benefits) below £25,000* otherwise Advanced Learning Loan available.

Free if aged 19-23 and have not achieved a full Level 3 and have a gross salary income (excl benefits) above £25,000* otherwise Advanced Learning Loan available.

*19+ on 31/8 in academic year course starts. Includes those who are employed or self-employed. Please contact the College for further information on gross salary income (excl benefits) below £25,000 funding eligibility.

All fee remission is subject to availability of Government funding at the start date of a course and eligibility criteria.

Please Note

Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course.
