Lecturer – Wildlife Ecology and Conservation

Areas of Teaching Expertise
Species and habitat conservation; landscape ecology; environmental planning, sustainability and “green” politics.

Industrial Experience
I have been a naturalist/ecologist all my life and am especially interested in reptiles and amphibians; I enjoy looking for odd plants and animals out in the countryside most of all. My work experience has included badger surveys, genetic research in amphibians, and Conservation Officer for a Wildlife Trust managing nature reserves. Most recently, I spent nearly four years as a Consultant Ecologist in the commercial sector, before returning to Sparsholt for a second stint of teaching ecology.
