About Me
Having graduated from Aberdeen University, I first worked in the salmon farming industry on the west coast of Scotland before moving south to warmer climes where I was employed by the Environment Agency in a multitude of roles (water bailiff, fish farm and fishery manager).

Since joining University Centre Sparsholt I have qualified for a PhD in Aquaculture by part-time study (awarded by the University of Stirling) and have more recently been involved in the planning and development of the Salmonid Rearing and Trials Centre which is an invaluable facility for contract research and practical instruction in salmonid aquaculture.

Personal interests include salmon fishing, sea kayaking and rock climbing.
