I have always been interested in plants and their arrangement and work closely with outside organisations, such as Plant Heritage, the RHS and the National Trust, to promote their use. Since 1998, I have coordinated the College’s display for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show; results include six Gold medals and three ‘Best in Category’ awards.

I am a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and Chair of the Adjudication process. I trained and worked as a product designer before falling into garden design and journalism. I lecture at several colleges, including Portsmouth University, Sparsholt and London College of Garden Design, Kew.
