Lecturer / Principal Designer at Green Zone Design Ltd, Petersfield

About Me

Green Zone is a small practice where work is spilt between residential gardens and commercial developments. Increasingly, living walls are becoming a staple of our output, for domestic spaces as well as commercial and local government projects.

Our designs pay as much attention to the use of materials as the selection of plants. We want our clients to enjoy using the gardens as much as we do designing them.

I am a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers (SGD) and Chair of the Adjudication process. I trained and worked as a product designer before falling into garden design and journalism and have been digging ever since. I lecture at several colleges, including Portsmouth University, Sparsholt and London College of Garden Design, Kew and am a SketchUp (CAD) evangelist running regular classes to all levels.

In addition, I am also a member of the Garden Media Guild and write the monthly column on Construction Detailing and Best Practice for the Garden Design Journal. My knowledge of CAD and construction will shortly be available in series of books.
