About Me

I have an MSc in Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health from the University of Edinburgh. I also gained a BSc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing Science in 2008 at Sparsholt College, qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse and am a registered Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS. I also hold a City and Guild Certificate in the nursing of exotic species, gained in 2009 from Edinburgh’s Telford College. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a member of the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA), the Worldwide Veterinary Service and Save the Rhino.

I am a qualified clinical coach supporting student veterinary nurses in practice and regularly keep my practical skills up to date by spending time in practice to ensure my nursing skills are relevant. I enjoy attending veterinary conferences such as BSAVA Congress and The Vet Show, and have been involved in study tours to South Africa, Costa Rica and Mongolia, to actively get involved in conservation projects.
