All visa national students will be required to pay a tuition fees deposit prior to issuance of a CAS. The current tuition fees deposit for visa national students for 2015 entry is £2000.
If your visa application is unsuccessful, you may apply to have your deposit refunded (subject to administration charges); however, if your visa application is rejected because of fraud and/or counterfeit documentation you will not be able to have your deposit refunded and you will not be allowed to enter the UK.
Do I need a visa?
If you are not ordinarily resident in a member state of the EEA/EU you will be classed as a visa national student and you will need to apply for a Tier 4 (General) student visa in order to study on a Further Education, Foundation Degree (FdSc), undergraduate degree (BSc), or postgraduate degree (MSc) in the UK.
Full details of countries requiring a Tier 4 (General) student visa and exceptions can be found here.
There is a very useful Home Office self-assessment page which you can use to find out what type of visa you need – check if you need a visa https://www.gov.uk/check-uk-visa.
You can contact the international office with any questions you may have about your Tier 4 visa.
Drinking and Driving
It is illegal in the UK to drink and drive.
If you are a Tier 4 student you will be deported!
