  • PASS card (Proof of Age Standards Scheme)

You cannot buy alcohol or certain media types until you are 18 or over, and even if you are 18, you should carry a PASS card (National Proof of Age Standards Scheme) that will conform your age. Do not use your passport to confirm your age under these circumstances.

  • passport

Your passport is a very valuable document, and if you are a visa national student, it is the most valuable document that you own. Look after it. Ensure that it is safely stowed away from prying eyes.

    lost or stolen passport

If your passport is lost or stolen you must report this to the police and inform the College International Office. You must apply for a replacement passport. If you are in the UK you should contact your country’s Embassy or High Commission for help in obtaining a replacement passport. If you are in your home country, contact the passport issuing authorities.

You can apply for a replacement visa if you had a Tier 4 visa sticker (called a ‘vignette’) in your lost/stolen passport. If you are in the UK, please check the UKVI guidance on transferring your visa to a new passport. If you are not in the UK, you must make a new Tier 4 application and pay the full Tier 4 fee.

Further information about lost/stolen passports can be found on the UKCISA site.
