Academic entry requirements

These entry requirements are for guidance only, please contact the International Office if you have any questions about the eligibility of your own qualifications.

If you are studying in an international school teaching A levels or IB please refer to our UK/EU entry qualifications. If you are studying in an international school under the US system, please consult our US entry requirements.

Level 3 Diploma

Five subjects in Maw 6 at 50% or above, including mathematics and a science subject, may be appropriate for entry onto a Level 3 Diploma.

FdSc foundation degree

Successful completion of one year at a recognised university in Thailand with a GPA of 2.5 or above in a relevant subject.

BSc(Hons) undergraduate degree

Successful completion of one year at a recognised university in Thailand with a GPA of 2.5 or above in a relevant subject.

MSc postgraduate degree

Satisfactory completion of a relevant undergraduate degree in a recognised institution.

English language requirements

Level 3 Diploma

IELTS (Academic) 5.5 overall, with a minimum 5.0 in any band; Pearson (PTE) 51; Cambridge English Scale Score 162-168 (FCE grade C; CAE level B2).

FdSc foundation degree

IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall, with a minimum 5.5 in any band; Pearson (PTE) 56; Cambridge English Scale Score 169-175 (FCE grade B; CAE level B2).

BSc(Hons) undergraduate degree

IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall, with a minimum 5.5 in any band; Pearson (PTE) 56; Cambridge English Scale Score 169-175 (FCE grade B; CAE level B2).

MSc postgraduate degree

IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall, with a minimum 6.0 in any band; Pearson (PTE) 61; Cambridge English Scale Score 176-185 (FCE grade A; CAE level B2).

Visa requirements

Students ordinarily resident in Thailand normally require a visa to study in the UK – further information can be found here.
