A dedicated student at University Centre Sparsholt, Jasmin Coles, has raised an impressive £462.50 for the charity Hounds for Heroes by completing a readathon during the autumn term.

Jasmin, a BSc Applied Animal Science student, took on the challenge to support the charity, which provides specially trained assistance dogs to injured and disabled personnel from the armed forces and emergency services. Her commitment and enthusiasm for the cause resulted in a significant donation that will help improve the lives of those in need.

As a token of appreciation for her fundraising efforts, Hounds for Heroes awarded Jasmin with a certificate and medal, recognizing her dedication and contribution.

Speaking about her achievement, Jasmin said: “As part of our course we have met Allen Parton, founder of Hounds for Hero’s and ET (Endal the Third) as a guest speaker, he told us about his own experiences in the Royal Navy and how Endal saved his life. So, when I was asked to raise money for them, I didn’t hesitate

“I’m really proud to have raised these funds for such an amazing charity. It was a rewarding experience, and I’m grateful for all the support I received.”

UCS is incredibly proud of her efforts and the positive impact she has made!
