MSc Applied Zoo Biology Graduate, Ella Hooper and Zoo Biology Lecturer, James Brereton have presented research findings at the annual ABWAK (Association of British and Irish Wild Animal Keepers) symposium.

Hosted at Flamingoland in North Yorkshire, the 2019 symposium welcomed over 150 keepers and students over a fact-filled three days that included talks and practical workshops on a wide range of topics and species.

Lecturer, James presented ‘Mirror, mirror – what is the most effective form of enrichment for southern ground hornbills?’ whilst Ella, presented the findings of her thesis ‘Enriching the Lives of Wolves’.

Both talks were very well received by the association and the University Centre Sparsholt team were delighted to take part in such a special annual event.
