Clearing

  • What is Clearing?

Clearing gives you another opportunity to find a place at university in the September. Organised by UCAS, Clearing is designed to help students who:

    • Sent their application to UCAS after 30 June
    • Haven’t already applied through UCAS before the deadline and would like to make an application
    • Haven’t got the results they expected and therefore have been unable to secure their first or second choice of course
  • How do I apply?

Every year thousands of students find a suitable university place through Clearing, so above all try not to panic. We have places available on a number of our degree level courses so here’s what you have to do next:

    • Take a look at the alternative courses available including the ones we offer here to make sure you are happy with the course content and you are heading in the right career direction.
    • Take a look at the entry requirements for courses with vacancies and compare with your grades to make sure you are choosing courses at the right level for you.
    • Contact us on the number below to express an interest in our courses and we will take details of your grades and pass to our tutors to assess your suitability.

Note your eligibility for Clearing will show up on your UCAS Track page and you will know if you’re in Clearing if your UCAS Track status says ‘You are in Clearing’ or ‘Clearing has started’. This will also be where you will find your Clearing Number (universities will need this so that they can access your application) and the ‘Add a Clearing choice‘ button.

If financial issues are a concern, find out about what loans or bursaries may be available to you that will help support your learning. Our Money Matters page will give you more information on this.

We’re here to help you make the right decision when it comes to our degrees. If you have any questions regarding the application process, our friendly Admissions team will be more than happy to discuss your options:
