Basic Shearing

Course intakes are now
closed for the current 23/24 academic year.

Course dates for the
24/25 academic year will be released when our new part-time prospectus is
published in the Summer term.

What will I learn?

This two day course, taught by a wool board approved instructor, will provide an introduction to shearing. This course is ideal for beginners and will include sheep handling and restraint for shearing, machinery use and maintenance, and wool quality and packaging.

Please Note

Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started their course.
