Schools Liaison

Our Schools Liaison Coordinator organises school visits and taster days, attends events across the region as well as learning all the little details that make Sparsholt a great place for school leavers to achieve their goals and be prepared to take the next step.

The School Liaison team take part in a large number of school events and visits each year. This could be anything from attendance at a Careers Fair to assembly/class presentations.

  • We offer a range of supporting services to schools, colleges and other agencies such as:

    • Assembly presentations
    • College visits for individual students
    • Careers Fairs
    • Mock interviews
    • Industry and careers talks
    • STEM event sessions

At the moment we are aware that it is not possible to visit most schools. We have therefore included on this page a range of information and online materials that can be used in school or at home.


Please find below a link to our applications page.  Applications are still open however we would recommend that anyone who is interested in studying at Sparsholt in September 2021 applies as soon as possible as some courses may fill up.

Open Events

  • Finance

    There are no course fees for students enrolling at the College if they are an EU citizen and under 19 when your full-time course begins. However, for others who have to pay for their courses, we know that Money Matters and offer many different Finance and Funding options.

  • Transport

    Students travel to Sparsholt College from all over the region, so we aim to make the journey as easy and cost effective as possible. Whether you’re getting the train from Southampton, Eastleigh, Totton or Basingstoke or the bus from across Hampshire and the county borders, we’ll help you find the best way to get into College.

  • Accommodation

    Every year, 400 students choose to make Sparsholt College’s 450 acre countryside campus their term-time home. Our on-site halls of residence have been rated Outstanding by Ofsted at our latest inspection in May 2018.

  • Wellbeing, Support & Learning Resources

    Starting college and studying a subject that you are passionate about is exciting but it can be daunting too. We know how important it is to stay focused on your studies but recognise that life can get in the way sometimes.

    That’s why we have a highly experienced Student Wellbeing Team to ensure you are able to cope with any obstacles life throws at you and to offer information and support. The team includes specialist wellbeing practitioners, Counsellors and nurses. The team are dedicated to listening and empowering you to resolve any challenges you might face to enable you to be as successful as possible at college and beyond.

  • Student Life

    Whether they live on campus in our Outstanding accommodation halls of residence, or travel in every day, Sparsholt College’s 450 acre campus has all the amenities to make our students feel at home, and to support them in their studies. Alongside use of College facilities such as the Fitness Suite and one-hectare lake, our students have access to a wide range of facilities dedicated to giving them the best student experience possible.

  • Industry Placements

    As part of our Level 3 courses in land-based subjects, full-time students aged 16-19 will complete a work placement with an industry-specific external employer or voluntary organisation. Students are expected to source a potential placement opportunity prior to the start of their course. Our Industry Placement team will be here to support and guide you from start to finish should you require their help.

  • Apprenticeships

    An Apprenticeship is a training programme designed to develop job-related skills, knowledge and competencies in a particular professional area. We offer a fantastic choice of apprenticeships in a wide variety of professions!
