Course intakes are now closed for the current 25/26 academic year.
Course dates and fees for the 26/27 academic year will be released when our new part-time prospectus is published in the summer term.

What will I learn?

This course, taught as a mixture of theory and practical sessions, provides the basic skills needed in a dog grooming salon for newcomers to the dog grooming industry. Students will learn skills to assist stylists confidently.

Courses take place one day per week (day dependant on intake start date), term time only.

Where will it lead me?

Leading to the C&G LBS (formerly NPTC) Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants.

Following successful completion of the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants, students may apply for the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming course. Your attendance and successful completion on the L2 course, will be taken into consideration when continuing onto our Diploma L3 Dog Grooming course.

Entry Requirements

Subject to interview.

All applicants will be required to attend an interview, and once an offer of a place has been made to you, a 10% deposit will be payable via our college on line store to confirm your place on the course.
For our fee remitted students, this deposit will be refunded once you have successfully completed a term of study with us.

· Existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course

· Anyone undertaking an Apprenticeship
