What will I learn?

The PRINCE2® Practitioner course builds on Foundation-level knowledge and focuses on applying the methodology in practice. It is designed for project managers, team leaders and anyone who needs to tailor and use PRINCE2 in a real project environment. This course uses scenario-based exercises and exam-style questions throughout, ensuring delegates can demonstrate their ability to apply PRINCE2® – not just describe it.

The 2-day course allows participants to put into practice the terms, methodologies and processes learned in the foundation course. It also embeds the learning process so that participants are confident in its application in the workplace.

New for 2024, PRINCE2® version 7 has been updated to be simpler, easier to use and more up to date in describing how agile can be used within project management. It introduces people aspects to project management, helping to improve the management of project stakeholders and understand organisational change.

PRINCE2® Practitioner is designed for project managers, team members, project support staff, project stakeholders and those already confident in handling projects or have been exposed to project management previously.

The intention is to teach the application of the PRINCE2® practices, processes and techniques, so that delegates can attain PRINCE2® certification at practitioner level.

After this course, learners will be able to

  • Tailor PRINCE2® to suit different project sizes, environments and organisational contexts
  • Produce and evaluate PRINCE2® management products (plans, business cases, risk registers, highlight reports)
  • Apply the practices and processes in realistic project scenarios
  • Manage stage boundaries, escalations and exception situations with confidence
  • Integrate agile delivery approaches within the PRINCE2® framework

Delegates receive an exam voucher valid for 12 months from date of issue. The Practitioner exam is open-book. We recommend sitting within two weeks of the course. Post-course exam support is provided for two weeks.

Delegates receive an e-book copy of Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2® (7th Edition) if not already held from the Foundation course. If learners require a hardcopy, they may purchase that themselves ISBN 9925344506.
