Cancellation of 2026 Sparsholt College Presentation Days
Due to the red weather alert issued for Winchester, the College has reluctantly taken the decision to cancel the Presentation Days that were due to take place on Tuesday 23 June and Wednesday 24 June in a marquee on the College campus.
This has not been an easy decision. However, given the nature of the event and the fact that it was due to be held in a temporary marquee structure, we cannot be certain that we would be able to keep all visitors, students and staff safe on the day. The safety and wellbeing of our College community must remain our first priority, and we believe that cancellation is the only responsible course of action in the circumstances.
We are extremely sorry to have to stand down the event, which is without doubt one of our favourite occasions in the College calendar. Presentation Days provide a very special opportunity to celebrate the journey our students have taken, recognise their achievements and share that moment with families, friends and staff.
Although we are unable to hold the event as planned, we remain committed to celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026. The College will record the presentation ceremony so that students’ successes can still be recognised and shared. This recording will be sent to students and families by the end of this week to watch at their convenience.
We appreciate how disappointing this news will be, particularly for students and families who were looking forward to attending. Thank you for your understanding and support as we take the necessary steps to protect the safety of everyone involved.
Yours sincerely,
Suzanne Grant – Chief Operating Officer & Deputy CEO
