Future Plans: I will be working full-time at CLAAS Western
“I’ve really loved every lesson at Sparsholt College – they are all different. I’ve had great opportunities to develop my knowledge in the new state-of-the-art workshop, with the latest diagnostic equipment like hydraulic pressure testers, and in the College workshop maintaining and repairing the farm machinery. The lecturers play a huge part too because they are all very knowledgeable, extremely helpful and they really believe in you and help you achieve your goals – I’ve enjoyed being treated as a mature student. The balance of practical and theory work is very good and every aspect of the course has inspired me to work hard and achieve good grades.
I was keen to develop my knowledge to pursue a career as an agricultural engineer, and studying here has made me feel I can achieve my goals.
We have lots of contacts and visit opportunities with dealerships throughout the year. After my Level 2 work experience with a local Agricultural Engineering dealership they offered me a job whilst studying, and very recently they offered me a contract after I finish, so I will be working full-time at CLAAS Western. Because of my experience at Sparsholt I feel confident and ready to go into the workplace and continue to develop my skills further.”
