Sparsholt College’s Arboriculture and Forestry offering including our T Level Trees and Woodland course has been awarded Silver at the 2026 Royal Forestry Society (RFS) Education and Learning Awards. Judges praised Sparsholt’s highly practical programme which has a strong focus towards practical woodland work.
This award recognises schools, colleges, universities and other recognised education and training providers who increase awareness, understanding and skills related to the environmental, social and economic potential of trees, woodlands and forests, and who may also demonstrate the link between trees and wood products.
Nicholas Smith an Arboriculture and Forestry lecturer at Sparsholt College represented the T Level course and wider Arboriculture & Forestry offering at the awards ceremony held at Sheepdrove Organic Farm. Nicholas credited the wider Forestry team, including Richard Swift and James Luke, for their contribution to the course, stating:
“It’s fantastic to see the course and the students’ achievements recognised by the Royal Forestry Society”
