Sparsholt college are delighted to celebrate current Sparsholt College Butchery Apprentice, Jake Smith who has been awarded gold in the young sausage maker category for his Wild Boar and Venison Sausage.
Judging took place at Basingstoke College of Technology where Jake presented the judges with his gold standard entry, later awarded for ‘excellence in texture, flavour and palatability’.
Helen Mitchell, Apprenticeships Manager at Sparsholt said:
“This competition enables our apprentices to showcase their expertise and passion for the industry. Another great winning entry from Jake this year, he should be proud of himself!”
The award marks a great achievement in Jakes butchery career with great promise for the future; a wonderful reflection of what Sparsholt College Apprentices can achieve.
