Sparsholt College Equine Lecturer, Amy Robbins, has been awarded the prestigious award of British Horse Society (BHS) Hampshire Coach of the Year 2022!

Amy has been a Lecturer and Course Co-ordinator Sparsholt College for over five years, alongside her roles as a Teaching and Learning Coach and as a Riding Coach commercially at the Equine Centre. Her passion for passing knowledge on to the students, and encouraging them to do their very best, has been recognised with this prestigious title, and funding from BHS for her to undertake continued professional development.

Upon receiving this award, Amy commented: “I was overwhelmed with the number of people that voted for me, and I am so grateful to every single one. It is a privilege to be nominated, let alone win, and I will put the £250 training fund into developing myself and improving my knowledge which I can pass onto my students and use towards future BHS exams.”

“I aim to become a Stage 5 Performance Coach and am thankful for the support from Sparsholt College Group in this process.”

This award is annually received by an Approved Centre-based coach, with Sparsholt Equine Centre’s industry-standard facilities being highly commended by the BHS. Finalists are anonymously nominated, and winners are selected by a public vote.
