We were visited by the team from SyncThermology who provided a guest lecture to our second and third year Equine degree students. This was part of their ‘Health and Welfare’ and ‘Rehabilitation and Therapy’ units.
They also delivered a demonstration of their diagnostic tool, Thermography. Two of the horses from our Equine Centre were scanned and the lecture discussed the process and looked at some case studies.
Thermography is a useful tool in the identification of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries, especially nonspecific and difficult to diagnose lameness.
