What will I learn?

This course provides a practical introduction to accounting, covering a range of basic book-keeping practices and techniques, including the production of the trial balance, bank reconciliation and correction of errors. Exemptions may apply for those with appropriate experience or qualifications.

The AAT Accounting Qualification is a professional qualification which will start you on the path to a successful accounting and finance career. The training will give you the practical skills and financial expertise to follow a rewarding career in professional accountancy.

    Where will it lead me?

    After you’ve qualified with AAT, you can choose how to build on all the skills and knowledge you’ve gained. The AAT will help develop your career as an accounting and finance professional.

    You can:

  • Become an AAT full member (and use the letters MAAT after your name)
  • Become a Chartered Accountant
  • Go to university (although the qualification in itself is a cost-effective alternative)
  • Start your own business and become self-employed
