What will I learn?

This course is based around our standard course content:

* Selecting the most appropriate communication methods
* Understanding personal preferred communication styles and those of team members
* Understanding the importance of non-verbal communication
* Appreciating the importance of questioning and listening skills
* Identifying barriers to effective communication and how to overcome them

However, our 1-1 courses are completely bespoke and can be built around the exact requirements of the learner. Learners will therefore be asked to tell us exactly what they would like to get from the course and the exact course content will be informed by that.

Please note that to gain maximum benefit from this course, learners need to be assured of confidentiality, except for when a safeguarding issue is identified. We will not, therefore be able to feed back to the employer. Instead, we would encourage learners to have a conversation with the employer after the course.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Entry Requirements Age

Applicants must be 19+ on 31/8 in the academic year of the course start date in order to apply/enrol on the course.

Previous Fee

Courses that start before 01/08/2025 will be available at the previous fee of £397

Please Note: at this current time, even though it may be detailed above, we are unable to confirm fee remission for courses with a start date on or after 1/8/25. Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course.
