What will I learn?

This course is based around our standard course content:

* identify the kind of job you want
* articulate what a potential employer is looking for
* identify a range of job search approaches
* write an effective CV
* prepare for an interview
* perform effectively at an interview
* consider how to follow up on an interview, and invite feedback

However, our 1-1 courses are completely bespoke and can be built around the exact requirements of the learner. Learners will therefore be asked to tell us exactly what they would like to get from the course and the exact course content will be informed by that.

Please note that to gain maximum benefit from this course, learners need to be assured of confidentiality, except for when a safeguarding issue is identified. We will not, therefore be able to feed back to the employer. Instead, we would encourage learners to have a conversation with the employer after the course.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

Entry Requirements Age

Applicants must be 19+ on 31/8 in the academic year of the course start date in order to apply/enrol on the course.

Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course.
