What will I learn?

This course is for those who want to learn how to groom their own pet dogs to help them maintain the coat, in between seeing a professional groomer; or are considering a change of career and want a taster. This course is a mixture of Theory and practical and you will need to bring your own dog and you will learn about choice and use of equipment, knot removal and management, possible introduction to basic clipping, tidying up fluffy feet and additional tasks such as nail clipping.

All courses run on a Saturday.

Where will it lead me?

This course may lead onto our Level 2 Certificate for Dog Grooming Assistants course.

Entry Requirements

Your dog will need to have sufficient hair growth for you to gain the full benefit of the course, when looking at management of the coat.

As you will be bringing your own dog, please ensure your dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations; please bring their vaccination card with you on the day.

Unfortunately due to our Kennel license we cannot accept Titer tested dogs.
