What will I learn?

This introductory course is designed for those users who wish to understand the concepts of using a spreadsheet package within the Microsoft suite.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Have an understanding of the functionality and features of Excel
  • Understand the different sections of a spreadsheet
  • Enter and edit data
  • Modify an existing spreadsheet
  • Create a new spreadsheet
  • Use basic formulae
  • Format worksheets effectively
  • Change the Setup before printing a spreadsheet
  • Print spreadsheets effectively

    Where will it lead me?

    After completing this course, delegates may progress on to our Intermediate Excel course

    Entry Requirements

    A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows would be beneficial.

    Applicants must be 19+ on the start date of the course in order to apply/enrol on the course.

    Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course.
