Felling and Processing Small Trees up to 380mm C&G – Certificate of Competence – Level 2

What will I learn?

The City & Guilds NPTC Level 2 Award in Felling and Processing Trees (up to 380mm) is the updated version of the now superseded CS31 certificate. This course includes site and tree risk assessment and directional felling and processing of small trees.

Entry Requirements

Students must be over 17 and have completed the Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-cutting Level 2 Certificate of Competence.
This is a physically demanding course and students must be comfortable in bending and operating a heavy power tool for extended periods.

Further Information

Students will require a strong belt to support safety trousers and gloves suitable for handling the bar and chain.
All other tools and equipment are provided free for the duration of the course.

Please Note

Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started their course.
