What will I learn?
From beginners to the more experienced, this 7 week course is ideal for anyone looking to prepare for the City & Guilds level 2 welding course or who want to weld for fun, start a new hobby, or pick up practical skills to help with their own car repair projects.
This course will introduce students to the different types of welding techniques used within the industry. Students will have the opportunity to develop their knowledge and learn the basics of welding

Delegates who complete this course may progress on to the City & Guilds Level 2 Award in MIG, TIG or MMA Welding

Learners will need to bring the following to the course
If you wish to join this course, please ensure that you can attend all the training sessions as it is not possible to offer alternative dates to make up for missed days. Please note that the first session in particular is compulsory as it covers the health and safety aspects. A learner will not be able to weld without undertaking that health and safety induction. Entry Requirements Age
Applicants must be 19+ on the start date of the course in order to apply/enrol on the course.

Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to:
· Existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course
· Learners aged 19-24 with an EHCP
