What will I learn?

The ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships is a key to effective performance at work. This is especially important during in times of stress or when changes are happening. Resolving difficult situations in a prompt and effective manner will enable working relationships to continue running smoothly, with minimum disruption.

This one day programme will help you to:

  • Define a difficult situation and consider appropriate responses
  • Understand different behavioural styles and apply this understanding, to improve the way you communicate with other people at work
  • Identify the different responses to and effective ways of dealing with anger
  • Deal with conflict in a positive manner
  • Understand and apply assertiveness techniques
  • Apply a framework for defusing a difficult situation
  • Give clear objective feedback
