What will I learn?
This course will cover the following
Define person-centred care and its importance in healthcare.
Describe the core principles of person-centred care, including dignity, respect, and involvement of the patient in their own care.
Theoretical Frameworks and Models
Identify key theoretical frameworks and models that underpin person-centred care, such as the biopsychosocial model and the social model of disability.
Explain how these models influence the delivery of care.
Legal and Ethical Considerations
Understand the legal and ethical frameworks that support person-centred care, including patient rights and informed consent.
Discuss the importance of confidentiality, privacy, and autonomy in person-centred care.

Effective Communication

Training can be delivered either in our state of the art training ward at Andover College or at the client’s premises. The course content can be amended to take account of the client’s specific training needs.

Due to funding restrictions this course is not available to:
· Existing full time Sparsholt College/Andover College students aged 16, 17 or 18 (or 19-24 with an EHCP) on the 31/8 in the year they started/start their course
· Learners aged 19-24 with an EHCP
