Learners will undertake modules: Plant Science, Plant Health, Plant Nutrition and Plant Specification.
Further information on the new syllabus can be found on the RHS website: www.rhs.org.uk/qualifications
Learners will be required to carry out revision for assessments outside of their college attendance.
Please note: formal assessments will commence on completion of formal delivery.
Delivered one day a week over six months, taught on the Horticulture Department at Sparsholt College.
Where will it lead me?
Learners can enrol onto the RHS Level 2 Practical Certificate in Horticulture following completion of this Theory Course. Alternatively, they may move on to a Level 3 RHS Practical Course (New Syllabus) in September 2023.
Please note RHS examinations – it is intended that students undertake the examinations for RHS in the academic year of registration, this allows for the best chance of success as exams are taken while the syllabus knowledge is fresh.
There are no pre-requisites for this course just a passion for Horticulture.
