What will I learn?

Lean Management aims to maximise customer value with zero waste. It can be implemented in any business and in essence means doing more with less. This course aims to introduce learners to the concept of Lean. They will

  • gain an understanding of the concept of Lean and its benefits
  • learn about the Lean vocabulary
  • look at the five principles of Lean
  • discover the 7 wastes
  • look at the five S’s – which are key to the implementation of Lean
  • be able to implement a productivity needs analysis process
  • Learn how to produce a process map using appropriate symbols and terminology

    You may be also interested in our NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Lean Organisation Management Techniques online course which leads to a recognised qualification.

    Entry Requirements

    There are no formal entry requirements for this course but a minimum of a level 1 (GCSE Grade D) qualification in English literacy or a higher level qualification would be beneficial.

    Entry Requirements Age

    Applicants must be 19+ on 31/8 in the academic year of the course start date in order to apply/enrol on the course.
